There’s no doubt that there are thousands of different jackets out there that you could choose from, but I will tell you why the BauBax 2.0 is different and what sets it apart from the rest!
So whenever you’re ready to find out more about this cool jacket, then please continue reading below.
The BauBax 2.0 Jacket Brief Overview
Alright guys, today is the day I received my new BauBax 2.0 Sweatshirt, and I must say I’m very impressed.
Don’t worry, I will tell you why I’m so impressed with what I got in just a bit.
So as you know, BauBax has made four different kinds of these jackets for both men and women, and they are:
- The Bomber 2.0 – $199.00 (Blue, Olive, Black)
- Sweatshirt 2.0 – $169.00 (Charcoal, Navy)
- Vest 2.0 – $159.00 (Black, Olive, Blue)
- Windbreaker 2.0 – $169.00 (Red, Black)
I chose the Sweatshirt 2.0 more for the cold weather traveling I’ll be doing in the next coming months.
So when I received my new Sweatshirt 2.0, I was quite surprised with what it had in store for me.
First off, it came in this pretty cool bag that kept my jacket safe and out of harms way.
Usually you get those cheap plastic wrapper bags, but not with BauBax, you get this heavy duty type of bag.
After I adored my gear in the its packaging for a minute or two, I finally took the items out to get an in depth look at things.
It might seem like you only get what you see in the picture (which are the jacket itself, travel bottle, blanket, & inflatable footrest), but when you dig into the jacket pockets you’ll find little hidden surprises.
Here’s what will come with your travel jacket 2.0:
- Travel Bottle
- Compact inflatable footrest
- Retractable keychain with whistle and bottle opener
- Microfiber cloth for sunglasses (built-in)
- Zipper pen with stylus (x3 extra refills for the pen)
- Earplug with case
- Airpod straps
- Built-in inflatable neck pillow & eye mask
- Detachable gloves
This jacket has over 20+ different features built into it that many people will not believe, and I’ll be more than happy to share them with you right down below.
The Sweatshirt 2.0 Features
As I mentioned earlier, this jacket has 20+ cool features hidden within it, and in order for me to have fun with it and find out what it was all about, I took the jacket out on a little test to one of my favorite work environments… the coffee shop.
So to kind of speed things up here so I don’t bore you to death, I will go over quickly what this jacket was made to do and how the different pockets are used.
This is one feature of the jacket that I really like, which are the detachable gloves.
The gloves are the ones that have the little thumbholes in them where you could keep your hands warm, but still be able to use your sense of touch.
What makes the gloves detachable, are these little velcro strips that makes it easy to attach the gloves to the jacket, or easily take it off if you don’t need them.
It really comes in handy for those cold days where you wish you had gloves!
Built-In Neck Pillow
Now this is something that really caught my attention and something I found to be quite amazing.
Within the hood of the jacket, you’ll find this little inflatable neck pillow that you just pull out and inflate it within about 2 to 3 puffs of breath.
At first I didn’t think it was going to be that comfortable, but come to my surprise it did its job at relaxing my head while I laid back for a break.
It’s not any of those tempurpedic like neck pillows, but it’s a neck pillow that’s more than good enough for your long road trips or flights.
Alright, so back to the hood of the jacket!
What you cold also find within the hood, is this tucked away eye mask that you could just pull down and shield your eyes from anything you want to block out.
No more hassle carrying a separate eye mask to help you sleep on flights or road trips, this jacket has one built in that’s works like a charm.
On the outer part of the jacket, you’ll find a handy little pocket that’s built for your passport.
It’s very convenient for those times where you are rushing and need your passport out quickly.
No more digging through your bag for your passport, you’ll always have it safe on you at all times.
Now what’s a jacket without a phone pocket right?
This jacket has it’s very own phone pocket that could hold pretty much any phone out there.
I mean I have the Galaxy S9+ which is a pretty big phone, but it fits easily into the pocket.
Having a phone pocket is nice to be quite honest!
Now I don’t have to worry about any of my pants pockets bulging out or my phone falling out.
The phone pocket is a zippered pocket so your device will always be secured, unless you forget to zip it up.
Yes that’s right, there’s a little drink pocket built-in this jacket!
To be honest though, I wouldn’t put my drink in it just for the fact that it could easily spill since the pocket isn’t deep enough to hold what I drink.
So I use that pocket for my money pocket or something of that nature.
Hand Warming Pockets
The hand warming pockets are fleeced-lined and does a great job at keeping your hands nice and warm.
It’s not like other jackets I used in the past that have hand warming pockets but didn’t do anything for me but act as a brace.
You’ll find the hand warming pockets on the Sweatshirt 2.0 to be very comfortable.
Retractable Bottle Opener & Whistle
Ok, so within one of the hand warming pockets, you’ll find a retractable whistle that has a built-in bottle opener with it.
I like this feature because you never know when you might have to open a bottle or two, or you’ll never know when you might need a whistle to get someones attention for any reason.
Zipper Pen + Stylus
I don’t know about you guys, but I have never seen or heard of anything like this.
Personally, I think it’s pretty cool to have a little pen handy at all times, especially when you need to fill out those custom forms when traveling international.
The way it just attaches to the zipper is a pretty cool feature, and I like the fact that if you don’t want the pen there anymore you could easily just detach it.
That’s all the features for the outer part of the jacket, now let’s make are way to the inside pockets.
On the inner part of the jacket, you’ll find a pocket built to hold your sunglasses, but not only that though, you will find a built in microfiber cloth that you could use to clean your glasses with.
So not only do you have the pocket for you glasses, but you also have the cleaning cloth that comes with it.
If there’s one thing that I didn’t really like about this jacket, it will have to be the iPad pocket.
This pocket could be found on the inner part of the jacket, but I didn’t find it to be comfortable once I put in my 10.5 inch iPad.
Yes an iPad Pro could fit in that pocket, which is crazy to me!
It’s a pretty cool idea to have for those who don’t want to carry anything at all in their hands, but you’ll see that the jacket will sort of weigh you down once you fill up all the pockets.
Another thing I did like about this little pocket, was that it had a nice little pen holder as well, or a holder for the iPad pencil for those who use it.
When you receive your jacket, you’ll get your very own earplugs that already comes stored in its designated pocket.
I had never really needed earplugs on flights or anything like that, but for those who do, just know you will have a set for yourself that will always be in your jacket.
Right next to the earplug pocket, you will find another small pocket where you could store your little airpods.
I don’t use airpods, so I use that little pocket to hold my loose change if I ever get any.
This is something that I liked as well on the jacket, which are the earphones holder that are little loops that run behind the neck.
With this feature, it allows you to avoid getting tangled up and allows you to have easy access to your headphones while on the move.
What I Like About The Jacket
The one thing I like most about the jacket, is for the fact that it looks just like how a normal jacket would, just with a ton of cool features built-in!
When I tested out the jacket in about 40 degree weather, it did a great job at keeping me warm and allowing me to stay comfortable.
Other things I like about the jacket, is how the pockets make it very easy to access all my little gadgets like my phone, keys, and everything I need on the daily.
Like I said, it’s like a normal looking jacket with a great twist.
Before I forget to mention it, BauBax was one of the only apparel that successful crowdfunded over $9.2 million on Kickstarter and $11.5 million on Indiegogo.
So just by looking at the numbers, you already know how excited people are to get their hands on one of these jackets.
What I Don’t Like About It
There really isn’t anything I dislike about the jacket, just the fact that it does get a little heavy once you load it up with your iPad and all the other little gadgets.
What I do like I said earlier, is jut keep my iPad out and use its designated pocket for something much lighter.
But overall there isn’t a lot I dislike about this jacket.
I found it to be pretty cool and helps make traveling like a breeze.
From boarding your flight all the way to your next destination, this little jacket will make your life that much easier.
Is The BauBax 2.0 Jacket Worth The Money?
Just so you know, the BauBax 2.0 Sweatshirt will run you about $169.
It might not sound cheap to most, but you have to know that you will have so much features within this one jacket.
In my honest opinion, I say it’s well worth every penny!
For a jacket that helps make traveling 10x more easier and helps you stay less stressed, why not invest in it.
I like the look, feel, and everything that this jacket has to offer!
It is now one of my all time favorite jackets that I will most likely bring with me on every trip I go on.
My Overall Take
For anyone looking for a jacket that will help make traveling a little easier, then the BauBax is one that could help you do that.
From all the features you just saw, it gets even better once you could start testing it out for yourself.
I love my BauBax 2.0 Sweatshirt, especially how it feels!
Do me a favor and go and grab yourself one of these awesome jackets before they sell out, you will not regret it.
