Garmin as you know has been around for a good number of years always coming out with top notch products!
I personally love all Garmin products and used many of them throughout my military career.
Now they came out with the Garmin Fenix 5S which is another great watch, but I know you landed here on this review to find out if it’s really worth getting?
Well my friend, I don’t want to keep you too long, so lets get into what this watch has to offer for its price tag!

The Garmin Fenix 5S Specs
If you’re wondering what makes this watch stand out above the rest, then I’ll let you know that right now!
You see, the Garmin Fenix 5S is made with a stainless steel housing that pretty much sets it up for any type of environment out there.
The Fenix 5S does have a built in multisport GPS that also has the Elevate wrist heart rate monitor technology, which is really great to help you push yourself through any workout.
No matter what sport you’re involved in, this watch could track your performance, and it has tons of preloaded activity profiles for any adventure you get yourself into.
Now this is what I like about the watch, yes it is built tough for the outdoors and whatnot, but you could still get the whole smart notifications like the other smart watches out there.
So you could basically call the Garmin Fenix 5S the Ultimate Hybrid!
Sadly it isn’t a touch screen and you do have to operate all the functions through the buttons, but I kind of like it that way.
If you were to go swimming with the watch and try to operate the touch screen if it had one, it wouldn’t work well, so I guess it’s a good thing it isn’t touch screen.
Now for all those people that like to go on extreme adventures, you don’t have to worry about getting lost, for this watch does have an advanced GPS system plus ABC (altimeter, barometer, and compass) sensor capabilities.
There’s honestly so much you could do with this watch that it’s unbelievable how they fit all this great technology in one little watch.
To top it off, if you get board with the wrist band you have on, you could swap it out pretty quick with no tools involved unlike the other watches out there.
Whatever activities you do in your life, this watch has you covered and there’s no doubt about that.
The Price Tag
If you wanted to get a Garmin Fenix 5S, it will cost you around $547 on Amazon (as of 06/02/2018 – MST).
There are different colors available, so this watch could be for both men and women.
The great thing about the Fenix 5S, is they really made it less bulkier than the other previous versions, so people with smaller wrists will be able to rock these watches.
Is The Fenix 5S Worth Buying?
I’m a big watch collector and have been buying Garmin products for many years, and I will personally say that this watch is worth every penny.
I guess the biggest reason why I love this watch , is not only does it have all these amazing features, but the battery life could literally go for days.
My watch took me over 7 days, which to me was pretty impressive!
When I was in the military and deployed to Afghanistan, the Garmin products never once let me down!
So yes the Garmin Fenix 5S is well worth the money if you want great quality and durability!
I really hope you enjoyed this quick review of the Garmin Fenix 5S and found the answers you were looking for.
