When it comes to multitools, there are just so many out there to choose from, that sometimes your brain gets frustrated.
Personally, when I’m shopping for multitools, I’m just like a kid in the candy store!
I just don’t know which multitool to choose from, so I end up buying multiple ones. LOL!
In this review, I’m going to tell you why you should get the Leatherman Wave Plus Multitool if you’re in the market for one.
I’m going to do my best not to take up too much of your time, so without further ado… Lets get started!
Leatherman Wave Plus Multitool Overview
Alright everyone, so after receiving my Leatherman Wave Plus Multitool, I must say I was very impressed!
I did get the black version of this tool just because it looked more manly.
Getting into the Wave Plus, you’ll find that there are 17 different tools you could choose from with this little guy.
Some of the tools you’ll find on this bad boy are as follows:
- Needlenose Pliers
- Regular Pliers
- Replaceable Hard Wire Cutters
- Replaceable Wire Cutters
- 420HC Knife
- Electrical Crimper
- 420HC Serrated Knife
- Spring Action Scissors
- Ruler (8 in.)
- Can Opener
- Metal/Wood File
- Bottle Opener
- Diamond-Coated File
- Small Bit Driver
- Large Bit Driver
- Medium Screwdriver
So as you can see, this little baby is jam packed with almost all the little tools you’ll need for a quick fix.
I used to carry around the Gerber Suspension Multi-Tool Plier as my everyday carry, but now I switched things up and started carrying my new Wave Plus!
This multitool is really built tough and is very sturdy, I guess that’s why I really like it so much.
The only problem as I stated in the Cons above, is the coating on the Black version of this multitool does scratch up easily.
I mean, it’s not a problem, for these tools are supposed to get down and dirty, but for those who care about the looks you might want to get the Stainless finish.
That’s a little overview of what the Wave Plus Multitool has to offer!
How Much Does It Cost?
If you wanted to snag yourself one of these awesome multitools, it will cost you $99.95 on Amazon (as of 06/22/18 – MST).
I know what you’re thinking, that’s a lot of money for a multitool…
Well my friend, it’s very much worth every penny in my opinion for the simple fact that it’s built tough, not like many other multitools you find out there that break easily.
If you get an extremely cheap multitool because you’re on a budget, I could almost guarantee you’ll end up breaking it rather quickly.
You know what they say, “You Pay Cheap, You Get Cheap!”
Should You Get This Multitool?
If you want my honesty, this is one multitool out there that will last you for a very long time!
So with that being said, I think you should get this tool.
Getting this tool could be the last time you spend on a multitool, unless you’re like me and just like to collect all these little gadgets and whatnot.
Like I said earlier, the Letherman Wave Plus is built tough, so it will help you for a very long time.
I’m almost certain that you will have this as your everyday carry just like how I have it!
My Overall Take
With all the different types of multitools out there, I think the Leatherman Wave Plus is one of my favorites!
This tool provides me with everything I need and more, and to top it off, it’s very lightweight and compact.
When I have this tool on my person, it honestly feels like it’s not there.
Not like some of the other tools I owned, when I have it attached to my belt, it’s really bulky and people know that somethings there.
You will not have that problem with the Wave Plus!
Anyways, I hope you enjoyed my little review and found the info you were in search of.
