If you’re in the market for a new fitness band, then I’m going to help you find out if the Samsung Gear Fit2 Pro Smart Fitness Band is worth getting.
I’m a big fan of fitness watches and collect them for the sake of my reviews, and of course for the sake of helping me keep up with my health.
In this review, I will be letting you know what I like about this fitness band, and what I don’t like about it.
So if you’re interested in finding out more about this product, then please follow along below.
Samsung Gear Fit2 Pro Overview
If you’re looking for a fitness companion, then the Samsung Gear Fit2 Pro might just be your pick!
Whether you’re on land or in the water, this fitness band could follow you wherever you go.
It is water-resistant for up to 50 meters in case any of you were wondering, so if you’re a big swimmer and need help tracking your progress, this little guy could help you track what you need through the Speedo On app that was developed for the Gear Fit2.
This fitness band does have a built in heart rate monitor, so there’s really no need for any uncomfortable chest straps or whatnot getting in the way just to get your heart rate.
Are you wondering if the Gear Fit2 Pro is bluetooth compatible?
If you are, then it sure is and it works with your friendly Android or iOS devices.
You could actually load music into your little Gear Fit2 Pro and sync up with some nice bluetooth headphones and have music playing in your ear without your phone on hand.
If you’re anything like me, music is something that’s needed while working out in the gym or on long runs.
I honestly hate it when I’m running and I can hear myself breathing, that type of stuff really makes me lose my concentration.
Now when the day is over and it’s time to go to bed, this band could also keep track of your sleep.
There’s honestly so much this little guy could do for you it’s insane!
All I have to say, is that technology is really taking things to the next level.
The Price For The Gear Fit2
If you already like the Gear Fit2 Pro Fitness Band and you’re ready to slap one on your wrist, then you could pick up one of these bad boys on Amazon for $197.99 (as of 06/25/18 – MST).
And by the way, this tracker is for men and women just in case you were wondering about that too.
Do I think its worth the price?
I honestly would say so, I mean I bought one and really loved everything about it, besides some minor flaws that I will talk about a little more below.
For the colors available, you could get it in either Liquid Black or Diamond Red.
What I Like About The Fitness Band
To get things going here, I would say the thing I loved most about this fitness band is its ability to do things without the need of a mobile device on hand.
Simple things like playing music straight from the band is something that I really liked.
As for the looks, I think the creators really did a great job of keeping the band sleek.
You could use this band to the gym, then get showered up and wear it straight to the office without it looking so out of place.
You do have the ability to change the watch face on the band, so you could tailor it to your style, which is pretty cool.
Some other things that are great about the Gear Fit2 Pro, is its ability to help swimmers track their progress.
Just the fact that you could jump in the pool without worrying about it breaking is great and relieving!
What I Don’t Like About The Fitness Band
The big thing I found to be a problem with the Gear Fit2 Pro is, the GPS tracker being a bit off.
If you run in trails that have many tall thick trees around like I do, you’ll find that the GPS signal will be hard to pick up.
With that being said, you’ll be unable to track your run!
Another thing that many people were having trouble with is the heart rate monitor being off as well.
I didn’t have a problem with mine, but I guess it’s really a hit or miss on getting one that will function properly.
So to sum it up, the main problems you might find with this fitness band is the GPS being off, or the heart rate monitor giving you false readings.
Like I said though, it’s really just a hit or miss if you get a tracker that has a messed up heart rate monitor.
My Overall Take
Overall, I found the watch to be pretty good for its small size.
There were some minor flaws like I mentioned above, but it wasn’t anything that bothered me too much.
If you’re looking for a good fitness pal, the Samsung Gear Fit2 Pro could be that pal you’re in search of.
Anyways, I feel like I took up more than enough of your time!
